Due to several new educational mandates, Pre-K programs around the state as well as here in Glenburn are switching to a four day classroom week. State mandates such as: increased student testing, extra teacher training, field trips, parent meetings and regular home visits have created a need to utilize the fifth day of school for the teacher to address these requirements. For our teacher Mrs. Grotton it is still a five day work week. Monday to Thursday will be two three hour Pre-K classes in the morning and in the afternoon. One hour has been added to both the morning and afternoon classes in order to maintain the prescribed class time. There are no classes on Fridays. This day is used to fulfill the state mandates.
