Superintendent’s Letter

Dear Glenburn Community Members

I appreciate the opportunity to lead the Glenburn School community as the new Superintendent.  Although this year has been filled with challenges I’ve felt welcomed and appreciated for my efforts.  We’re fortunate to have strong leadership from the school board, administration, teaching, and support staff here in Glenburn.
The transition into a new community and new position during the 20-21 school year has been nontraditional to say the least.  I believe you’ll find the Superintendent’s Office to be welcoming, responsive, and always looking out for what’s in the best interest of Glenburn students, staff, and community members.  This year, providing a healthy, educationally valuable, and emotionally safe place for students has been our greatest priority.  We recognize the challenges the pandemic has placed on families and are working hard to provide the stability of a typical school experience while considering everyone’s physical health.
We’ll continue the great work that’s already happening in Glenburn and find ways to support improved instruction and assessment throughout our school.  Developing students who are well prepared for their high school experience is our mission but we realize their journey continues beyond high school.  We hope to instil basic skills, values, and habits that will serve them well beyond high school as they become college or career ready citizens.
Thank you for trusting us with your children.  We will strive to take great care of them while they’re with us.
