Hazardous Weather Conditions
The National Weather Service has issued warnings for extremely low temperatures and wind chill Friday 2/3/23. It is important we are prepared and dressed properly. Exposed skin can develop frostbite in as little as 5 minutes, with fingers, ears and noses the most susceptible areas.
Prepare for the day:
Dress Properly
It is recommended that students wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
● Long pants
● Dress in Layers
● Warm jackets, hats, mittens and scarfs
Morning Bus Pick Up and Afternoon Drop Off
● If your house is visible from the road, have your student wait inside the house and watch for the bus. It will wait for them to come out. Stopping at each house may delay the bus runs by a few minutes. Please be patient, a bus will be coming to pick up your child.
● If your house is NOT visible from the road, please wait with your student in a warm car at the end of your driveway or road.
● At the end of the day, we will follow the same process in reverse.
Walkers
● If you normally walk, you should make alternative arrangements both in the morning and the afternoon. Please plan on dropping off and picking up your students if they normally walk.
Recess
● There will be no outdoor recess tomorrow.
Stay covered when you are outside. Even for short distances.
