Dear Glenburn School Community,
Glenburn School has been hard at work at implementing school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports (SWPBIS). Our teachers have created the “Glenburn Guide to Greatness”, which is a matrix of behaviors for every part of our students’ day–from riding the bus to and from school, the playground, cafeteria, restrooms and classrooms. The matrix, or applicable portions of it, are being posted in all the areas listed. Students are also being given copies of the Glenburn Guide to Greatness.
Additionally, teachers are creating, posting, and teaching classroom expectations and consequences, which show what the items on the matrix look like in each classroom, and what the consequences will be when a student exhibits inappropriate behavior. You will notice these posters when you visit our classrooms.
