Announcements: June 11, 2026

As we approach the end of the school year, I'm pleased to announce that we will be hosting this program again for the second year. The structure will be the same as last year.
For those of you new to the program - The boys and girls soccer coaches host a co-ed soccer scrimmage every Sunday evening From July 12 until Aug 23rd. All Incoming 5th into 6th graders through outgoing 8th into freshman are welcome. This is a fun, structured, informative way to acclimate incoming 6th graders the the larger field and faster pace, provide a way for newcomers to engage with the sport, and create opportunities to continue touches on the ball and game play over the off season.
The structure is simple. Teams will be selected and coaches will field, sub, and call (ref) the matches like real games. Coaches will offer on field coaching and real time feedback.
There is no need to RSVP - Just show up .... tell you neighbors, tell your friends .....tell your neighbors friends.

The 18th annual Glenburn Community Festival Returns this June 20th with Family Fun and New Bigfoot Attraction.
The Glenburn Community Festival is returning for 2026 with a full day of family fun. We start the day with a parade and our antique car show at 9am...followed by a cheer performance, then the Great Maine Lumberjack Show Starring Timber Tina Sheer and her talented team, Jason Tardy (The Extreme Juggler), games, food trucks, music all day, an all day craft fair, and into the evening with a live musical performance by Rockin Ron & The New Society before our fireworks show. We have an exciting new Bigfoot-themed attraction featuring our locally scouted Sasquatch, whom is heard to be feeling trapped in the Glenburn woods at our event. Help us confirm his whereabouts in our new family friendly interactive Bigfoot Trail, and let him know we are friendly followers. Photo opportunities with Bigfoot and scavenger hunts will be happening throughout the day.The festival welcomes residents of Glenburn and surrounding communities including Bangor, Brewer, Hermon, Old Town, Orono, and beyond. Attendees can enjoy activities for all ages, local vendors, food, entertainment, children’s attractions, and surprises throughout the day at The Glenburn Elementary School.
